SLEEP DISORDERS: AMERICA'S HIDDEN NIGHTMARE Roger Fritz (Naperville, IL: National Sleep Alert, Inc., 157 pp., 1993, $12.95)

Fritz is a management consultant and author of 23 business books. This book offers a rapid-fire headline style overview of sleep and sleep disorders and of the personal and societal costs of workplace accidents.
The book lacks organization; its chapters, in order, are called: Wake up to the danger!; Sweet dreams: getting a good night's sleep; Lights out: how the sleep problem costs us all; Primary sleep disorders; Other sleep problems; Insomnia is not a disease!; and What would you do for a good night's sleep? The staccato style, density of numbers, and heavy use of bold face, italics, and exclamation points, made this
reader weary. The bibliography contains only six references.
