THE ART OF NAPPING William A. Anthony (Larson Publications, 1997, 87 pages, paperback, $9.95)

This is sleep lite. "The writings of sleep researchers,"
Anthony contends, "stimulate many non-scientists to nap." Yet their
studies, he says, conclude what nappers have long known: napping
can be good for your health.
Anthony is a professor of psychology at Boston University
and a self-described "expert napper." He champions the need for
napping in our sleep-deprived society, relates anecdotes about
famous nappers such as Nap-olean Bonaparte, provides a glossary
of terms such as "naptitude" (which you can hone by taking naps),
and calls for nap counseling in the workplace. Thoughts to sleep on.
