Follow-Up:

Don't quit cold turkey, it can be very dangerous. You need to be titrated off the medication. Also, the electric shock thing is possible while on Zoloft, I have experienced it PRIOR to my deciding to get off the medication. I am a 41y/o male taking Zoloft for only 1 month. I have gone from 25 mg to 50 mg to 100mg in that short time. Back down to 50mg at this time, I am being weaned off because of the following: 1. Arthritic pain in joints including knees, hands, wrists, and hips. 2. Muscle cramps in legs. 3. Difficulty focusing - visual disturbances 4. Lack of feelings of any kind, feel somewhat out of body except for pain sensors. 5. Moderately depressed! I was mildly depressed before, principally a mid-life crisis thing. 6. Chest Pain. There are other factors but those are the principal ones. Good luck. Mark - a registered nurse
