Follow-Up:

I, like many thousands of others continually look for some form of explination to this damn ringing in my two ears. I remember when it first came on - it hit me like a ten ton truck.... I was a rep in the middle of a long country drive when it hit - I didn,t know how to handle it - I had to find the nearest Motel and isolate myself from all noise. This was over 20 years ago. The fact that I had my neck in a single position for prolonged periods of driving leads me to think the possibility of skeletal problems in the neck is the cause of my problems. My neck clicks when I turn it, and I have a long time growing muscular pain.I am going to persue this with my GP. I would like to touch on another related problem - Inability to be in a loud large family without feeling your brain is going to explode....... The scenario I would like to put forward is as follows...... 4 very loud kids continually bickering with each other at the same time - A TV plugged into a stereo playing the latese music video clips - Another TV plugged into a computer game with the theme music of the game continually repeating - One and sometimes two portable CD players going in the kids rooms - The parrot on the back verandah schrieking as usual - the two dogs filling in time by running up and down the fence both barking at the dog next door who returns the barks louder - the phone ringing, and all this in a house that has a resinance trait that would put an opera theater to shame........... When someone tries to talk to me quietly with all this going on I tend to lose it...Am I on my own, or do others experience the same ??? I have tried to educate my family to the intollerable side effects of Tinitus to no avail - I think one of them will have to get it before they properly understand, not that I would wish it on my worstest enemy........ For the mean time I continue to surf the web for medical recognition of a cure. You might like to go to http://www.medscape.com if you would like to start searching the places the GP's go to for the latest information............LETS HOPE THAT A SOLUTION IS A "WHISPER" AWAY
