I can immediately think of two reasons why you feel your eyes might do that which you describe. Unfortunatley neither of them are demonic. reason one might be SP is experienced while in REM (Rapid Eye Movement). Hence the eye movements. Reason two might be that before you enter stage one sleep and when you are in stage one sleep your eyes do slow rolling movements. called "Slow rolling eye movements" (SEMs for short) these types of EOG traces are a really good indication in some people that they are asleep or are about to enter sleep.
