Hello Wilma :-) I have fibromyalgia and I haven't noticed any hair loss. Many times hair loss (alopecia) in women is due to heredity and hormonal changes, especially later on in life; however, I think since you have stated that you have lost more than half the hair on your head, I think your doctor should take this seriously because it could point to more serious conditions such as thyroid or liver disease, drug toxicity, and hepatic or renal failure, among several other things. Wilma, one medication I've read about recently is Aminexil Kerastase which has been used to combat this problem in men and women. An excellent website is http://www.hairloss-hair-loss.com/ which can give you information about hair loss and info on the product mentioned above. Good luck, Wilma, and I hope you will find the help you are seeking. ~ Kayla
