Dear Jared: Wow, I'm really sorry you've had to experience that. My opinion on this is that I feel you should contact a qualified psychic investigator as soon as possible so they can give you more information about what is happening and what to do to make it stop. I'm only a paranormal researcher and I don't really know your situation very well, but I can say chances are if you go to a doctor, he may say it's all in your mind; and if you go to a priest he may say it's an evil spirit. Jared, I will be very sincere in telling you that over the 20 years of my researching I've heard a lot about these types of experiences, talked with people first hand who have had these experiences. I cannot even pretend to know what you've had to go through with this experience, nor will I make a snap judgement; however, I will tell you what I have heard doctors and psychologists say regarding this. Recently, there's been a lot of study done on the effects of mind having a physical effect on the body. Good examples of this are psychosomatic disorders. Some psychologists feel that "stigmata" is also a psychosomatic disorder; in other words, the mind in conjunction with the brain having a physical effect on the body(in this case, bleeding). They therefore believe that beginning at puberty some young men and women are somehow able to project psychic energy outward resulting in telekinetic manifestations(such as in poltergeist activity) in addition to physical manifestations such as bleeding, scratches, bite marks, bruises, etc. Why the scratches and bite marks? Well, they believe(and I don't necessarily agree)that subconsciously the individual has strong feelings of underlying guilt, shame, perhaps even self-hatred. I'd be very interested to know how many of these people also experience one or more sleep disorders, including SP(also with the old Hag and the Incubus, Succubus) with additional associated hypnogogic hallucinations. Whether these have anything to do with the subject at hand requires further research.
