Follow-Up:

Yes, I am 34 and have had FM for about 3 years. When I was first diagnosed and feeling my worst, that was one of my symptoms. It seemed to fall out in patches--even my eyebrows were a bit patchy. Now that I am feeling better, it has grown back to normal (it was one of my last symptoms to subside). I still have cycles of hair loss which sometimes seem heavier than normal (pre-FM), but no patchiness. I know that it is not "supposed to be" a symptom, but I would tend to disagree. I know that you and I are not alone with the hair loss thing. I remember being at a FM workshop, comparing symptoms with the others and several ladies shared the same problem, each of us in varying degrees. Also, no one likes to admit to stress being the cause of health problems, but I do think that it can aggrivate hairloss and other FM symptoms. I am glad that you are feeling much better. I don't have a solution for your hair loss problem, but wanted you to know that you are not alone and that hopefully it will gradually go away like mine did. Best wishes.
