HI - am SP sufferer and am interested in secular/supernatural theories on subject...Any sleep paralysis sufferers who have been too scared to sleep? Went through a stage couple of years ago where I felt compelled to stay awake all night and only sleep in the early hours of the morning (3/4hrs a day for about 10days)...it wasnt a choice exactly see...believed I would be 'posessed' if I didnt follow this rule...Oh I didnt believe it at first...'felt' something change whenever I started to doze off...first time I ignored it (weird feeling)and woke moments later 'bucking like a horse'- supine position - to get someone/something off me -it felt like I was fighting for my 'sanity.' Scared enough by this experience to take it more seriously (I might not get another chance.)After a couple of days of 'rule'(and everything being OK) relaxed and got too tired again to sit up all night...dozed off...straight away I was in a dream...I felt paralyzed (that I was choking) and woke to realize my own arm was pressing on my windpipe..woke...Still I did not believe...Dozed off again later...Dream ended with me paralyzed...'I was like lead - couldnt scream couldnt do anything...The whole time I heard the 'neighbours' laughing. With my last remaining strength I shattered the glass I was holding - it broke the "spell" and I jerked awake.' Dream so terrifying I kept my nightly vigil until...To be cont...
