Question:
I am 18 and I have been having trouble breathing lately and this has occured other times in my life every once in a while for months at a time. I have been having to take deep breathes to get air in, because my lungs aren't seeming to be doing it themselves. I feel like I don't get enough oxygen in and I feel like I need some device to pump oxygen into my lungs. I have to take breathes like, every 6 seconds and even when I take in deep breathes, they come short and I don't feel like I'm getting anything in. About every 12 breathes or so I get a satisfactory amount of air, but then it starts all over again and I feel like I'm suffocating. I don't smoke, and I am healthy as far as I know, I am 5'7 and wheigh 140 lbs. The only thing wrong with me as I was told by a doctor is that I don't drink enough water, but I try to and I don't excersise on a daily basis although I try. Also, I have been having trouble yawning, I can't get a single yawn out when I feel like I have to or else I won't get enough oxygen in. What is wrong with me? (Sorry to sound so elaborate but I feel this is beginning to become a big problem for me.)
