Follow-Up:
Trazodone is safer than Ambien in my opinion. I've taken both. Ambien use can lead to addiction, which accounts for your panic attacks (the body wants MORE). Trazodone never made me feel bad. You should plan to get at least 6 hours sleep-hopefully more! I wouldn't drink alcohol with any medication, but I'm sure if you were out one night and had a few, then maybe ate something, you'd still be OK to take it. Hope this helps.
