Question:
A friend of mine recently committed suicide. He had been working 18 hours a day, 7 days a week for 6 months and was completely exhausted. I want to understand how sleep deprivation affects the body's chemicals and how an imbalance of chemicals can lead someone to subconsciously take their own life. Another friend had a chemical inbalance where his body wasn't making seratonin, luckily it was picked up and he was put on a course of medication. He said he used to hear demons in his head and he very nearly took his own life. If anyone can explain or give me any information, leads to research papers, etc I'd be very grateful.
