Mito-chondrial myopathy

Question:

I recently read an article in the Toronto Sun Re: about a man who suffered from Mito-chondrial myopathy. The brief description mentioned that the bones grind painfully on the nerves and erodes the muscles. I am 34 years old, and have suffered from pain in my joints, constant grinding, clicking and sometimes my joints pop in and out of socket. Also the more active(physical) I am the more pain I suffer. I have had this problem since I was in grade 2, when my mother says I quit running. All my life the docters who have examined me have said "Oh your the weird jointed one". When I was in my early twenties I popped my hip out of joint, when I had physiotherapy to help it, the physiotherapist said I was Hypermobile? and that I have arthritis. Could you please help me in locating information on Mito-chondrial myopathy, so I can read up on it as not only do I suffer from painful joints but my father (61 years old), and both my children seem to suffer from pain in legs, joints etc.
