Question:
This is a bit awkward. I am writing for my significant other who has been experiencing problems getting to sleep. She works for the airlines and international flying resulted in her having to take time off because of sleep loss. She could not adjust to time zone changes (west coast to Asia and return). She was given Paxil to help with the sleep and possible depression but it left her feeling anxious. She tappered off the Paxil and was then given Trazodone. She split the first 50mg tablet mostly because of her experience with Paxil and had another bad night feeling jittery and anxious and unable to sleep. She is reluctant to try it again. Our question: Should she have taken the full 50 mg? Does Trazodone have a threshold for the sleep effect (thinking 25 mg may not have been sufficient)? Could her reaction be a side effect at that low dose? What could account for her reactiuon? Many thanks.
