I have been having a condition off and on for 3 or 4 years now. You can feel a pain coming on in the upper back that moves through to the chest area, and up the neck at times. It will come on always in the evening, especially if I am sitting quilting, painting, or even just watching TV. It will sometimes wake me out of a sleep at night. Usually a back rub, or sometimes walking around will help. It helps to lay on my back at night and sometimes laying on my side will bring it on. It's very mysterious, and I've even been to the hospital thinking it was a heart attack. I can't determine if it's back related, stomach related, or it is due to mitral valve prolapse, which I have. Anyone else have these symptoms?
