Question:
I have had this since about august of '01 . My wife noticed that my breath had a sour smell to it , but i have never had an oral hygene problem before although I do have alot of fillings from my early adulthood , otherwise I brush and floss daily and have done so for years . I had been diagnosed as a " borderline diabetic " about 2 years ago. I finally went to the DR. after about a month after the burning and little white bumps started . The first time I was given amoxacillin 850mgs twice a day for 10 days . This releaved the sour breath smell according to my wife , but did nothing for the burning or sores and made the weird taste in my mouth worse . On the next trip to the DR. I was told that I had ORAL TRUSH and givin Nystanton mouthwash . This provided some releif but no cure. On the next visit I was given DIAFLUCAN & a refill on the Nystanton mouthwash . This also failed so I went to another DR. . This time I was given an antibiotic called Biaxin and Dukes Miracle Mouthwash . After 2 more refills on the mouthwash I still have the burning and sores on my tongue and in my mouth . I also have used Sensodyne toothpaste for at least 10 years . After reading this board I have found that alot of people have the same symptoms as myself . I have a burning sensation on the tip and sides of my tongue , a weird taste in my mouth , little white bumps that appear and disappear in various locations on my tongue , the center of my tongue has a cold felling to it , the very tip feels like sand paper and rubs the roof of my mouth almost to a raw sensation in the small area that it contacts against it , and sometimes my lips burn .
