Question:

I am a 36yr old male that has had snored my entire life. I lead a very healthy life style and am very fit. Everyone who has ever had the displeasure of being in the vacinity of me during sleep has made comments about it. Going clear back to my early child hood. My ex-wife would often wake me several times a night tring to get me to stop with no luck. Finally giving up and moving to another part of the house. After our divorce my neighbors in the apartment building made comments as to the volume of noise coming from my apartment. I wake myself regularly through out the night. I attempted to get medical help but have been refused because my insurance claims my disorder is not life threatening after see the results of my SNAP study. The Dr.s all agree I generate an extreme amount of noise during sleep which they can fix through a combined sugical procedures to open up my air paths. They say I have deviated septom, elongated uvula, my pallet needs to be scalped, and removal of my adnoids should resolve my troubles. My fiance~ can't sleep in the same room with me. This situation is destroying my love life and Im afraid will continue to until the right procedures are performed. How do convince the insurance companies that this abnormality is ruining my life? Where can I go for help? So far no insurance carrier that I can find covers this. No Dr. that I have found is willing to take payments for these costly procedures. Does anone have any suggestions.
