Follow-Up: I was successful and get SSdiablility for Narcolepsy. I was told that you have to see a physcian on a monthly basis. He wrote letter attesting why I cannot work. I got a lawyer because the state of SC tried to say Narcolepsy was a mental and nervous disorder-it a neurological disorder I tried withou a lawyer and got nowhere. I found out who the best lawyer in this area and went to him. I was scheduled to have a hearing but after i went to lawyer I go letter saying that my case had been reconsidered and that I was elgible. It took me one year exacty to get approval. Keep in mind not many people know what it is so I rounded up all infro I could find and used it in my statement.. The SS people sent me to a -psychologist that had never treated anyone with narcolepsy and he didn't know anything about it. I challenged his report and filed complaint with the state licensing commission for not disclosing the fact that he knew nothing about the disorder Never give up and don't let them treat you like a nonperson. Be prepared to explan fully how you are affected and how it keeps you from working; I wish and hope the best
