Question: I have a young child who is severely ADHD. Before he started on dexedrine he could not sleep but maybe 3 hours in a 24 hour period. He could not play normally or anything. But since being on the medice he can do so much more and is even learning how to speak better. BUT! The last few weeks I have noticed that from time to time his lips are turning a bluish-purple color, and under his fingernails as well. He is going to be seeing the doctor tomorrow about it. But my question for anyone out there is, can dexedrine damage the heart or heart valves? Has anyone heard of anyone experiencing any problems like the ones I just posted? Or if anyone can shed any light as to why my son may be experiencing this, I would appreciate a response. Thank you, A Very Concerned Mother
