Message: I have tried everything from melatonin to no coffee and everything in between. I have tried Loranzepam, clonazepam and levodopa. The levodopa brings temporary relief but eventually it catches up with you and. I couldn't live without it but didn't realize it was acually making my symptoms worse. It was in my arms and leggs I couldn't sit down, I was home bound because The car was like a torture chamber. I would be up at night jumping up and down or running in place to try to get relief. This went on for months with only one or two hours of sleep a night. The rest of the nights were spent stumbling around drugged with levodopa, once I fell and got a black eye on my coffe table. As you can see I had a very severe case and it does get worse with age, I am now 38. And as I have heard others say, I also wanted to end it. BUT, DON'T GIVE UP YET!!! The next medication I tried was for parkinsons and affects the dopamine level. Its called "Permax". It causes some side effects nausia etc. but is worth it. I can sleep at night, I can go to a movie etc.. GOOD LUCK, Cindy
