Follow-Up: Do you ever awaken from these dreams unable to move? Are the dreams incredibly real and vivid? Do you often during the day suffer from waves of helplessness and loss of control? Do you lose track of time during the day and are unable to account for it? Do you feel a profound weariness or sleepiness at regular intervals during the day? Do you do things and not remember doing them? These are all symtoms of narcolepsy. See a sleep specialist if you answered yes to more than one of these questions. Do not let your doctor convince you that it can't be narcolepsy because no one has narcolepsy. I do and had many horrible dreams so real I was sick and I had them over and over during the night. It has nothing to do with what you eat. If it is not narcolepsy it may be one of several other less obscure sleep disorders.
