Follow-Up: I've been on St. JW for about a week now. I felt the effects immediately. As a matter of fact, the first few days were uncomfortable (sort of drug like affect). That has tapered, though, and has unquestionably helped with anxiety and feelings of hopelessness. I'm going to try it for about a month or two (300 mg. a day) and see where this goes. Side affects - dry mouth sometimes. A feeling of my consciousness being slightly altered - a little uncomfortable.
