Follow-Up: When I was very young The quacks put me on Ritalin. I became very docile for the first six months because I was so speeded out from burning braincells that I was high. I could have achieved the same effect by sniffing glue. My grades fell steadily, I became rebelious and violent and could never focus my attention on anything. I became oblivious to the world. When they finally took me off it when I was 14, it was too late. I was a scarred violent mental vegetable. My life has been a steady downfall into poverty and alcholism. Ritalin is the cause of my ADD, not the cure. My only solice is that with age, I seem to slow down enough to be able to concentrate.
