Follow-Up: Hello all.... I, too, know EXACTLY what pain you are talking about. I am 23 years old, and I brux during the night and also chew the inner portion of my cheeks during the day, regardless of the pain. In regards to those of you looking for mouth guards to "make" at home, they are not as comfortable, but I have used them for obvious financial reasons. One thing you can do is buy the kind they sell in the sports sections at local department stores. They are bulky and annoying, but better than nothing. If this does NOT work, there are ways of cutting them down... its really hard to explain, but I'm sure you can figure it out. I once boiled one, then folded it flat, cut it in 1/2, boiled it again and reshaped it to fit my teeh by putting around my old mold from my original dentist. (I don't really recommend this, but hey, if you're at your wits ends......) Anyway, I am currently looking for treatment methods. Please write to me at litteachr@aol.com if you have found something that does work. Hang in there, and keep looking! I'm sure it will get better.
