Follow-Up: I suffer from bruxism since childhood. Now in my mid 30s I have 'succeeded' in getting away with the enemal on most of my teeth , my canine teeth are leveled down completely. Now I wear a plastic mouthguard, but the bruxism becomes even worse. While my teeth are protected at night my jaw muscle go beserk. My theory (I'm not a doctor) is that simply some people find a special way in their childhood to cope with stress - by grinding their teeth at night. That method is stored inside your brain and used every time it seems to be required. Now with my plastic mouthguard and my growing interest in bruxism I think I focus too much on the problem. Maybe the only way is going two steps back before thinking of any clever machinery or drug therapy to over come it. Maybe it will only become less if you accept it. I have no evidence for this, but I think since I would really like to get rid of it I only support the mechanism more. To my knowledge no serious treatment exist, or does anybody has any other tips? All the best, Ralf
