Follow-Up: Jane I do understand your warnings, but that was a little extreme to scare the hell outta the others. I used to be an alcholic, and extreme drug abuser(ALL TYPES) I got married, my wife helpede me (pushed, threatened...etc) so I made myself quit. For 9 Years after the habits, I found myself having a rough time concentrating, along with many numerous other symptoms of ADD, I tried ritalin for 6 months, did nothing for ADD, so I went on dexedrin, have been on for 1 year now, I still stay up 2-3 days in a row at times, my little obsessive behavior has returned from childhood(neat freak about MY area's) etc, but now, I no longer feel like I wanna stay in bed al day, I control my temper with my children soooo much better. Dexedrin IS a DAMN SERIOUS and hard drug to get in Canada. But all drugs have thir drawbacks, but my doctor knows about my pasty and watches and listens to me and my wife about concerns. If you feel your doctor is refilling your dexedrin prescription without talking to you AND others you are close to, get another doctor, as this is when abuse, and and loss of control over the drug starts. I just dont want those that feel it is helping but with a few side effects that could be helped with a good doctors advice and concern, to give up, cause I would not give up the dexedrin for nothing at this point. But if my doctor has a concern I will listen to her about dosages, timings...etc... So stick in there all, if yopu feel it is the dexedrin and wish to quit, please tell your doctor you wish to quit, if he/she pushes you to stay, get another doctor!! It is you that knows best how you are coping, not a webpage, a friend, not even family, but you have to be honest about how it is effecting the symptoms, and most of all the rest of you
