Follow-Up: Just wanted to say that I have them too. They are really and truly terrible. Perhaps you or I have a sleeping disorder and may need to seek help from someone who knows more about this. I just don't understand where I get these dreams from. I'm already in therapy (for 2 years), and I already feel pretty close to my catholic religion. But I have problems with my mother and I was physically and sexually abused since I was 2. Now I'm in my 20's and I'm angry I have to go through this. When I was 12, I used to read dream interpretation books and I regret that sincerely, since I think it implanted ideas in my head that weren't there before about symbols; so please don't turn to them. I will pray for you, but please seek professional help when you're ready.
