Follow-Up: Don't know the specifics of your situation (mattress size, etc.), but here's what worked for me. We had a foam mattress for years and loved it. Now we have conventional mattresses which were too firm for me, so I "topped" the mattress with the foam bunk bed mattress used formerly by our kids. Now it's very comfortable and the cure was very inexpensive. Old bunk bed foam mattresses can be easily tossed under a bed for storage, but quickly retrieved for use by unexpected overnight guests, added comfort when sleeping in a station wagon or van, or just as an added comfort on top of an existing mattress. Got an old one at your house....pull it out and try it...you'll probably like it. Good Luck
